The Australian Open Junior Summer Circuit comprises a range of tournaments at various levels with the highlight being the Australian Open Junior Championships at Melbourne Park from 22 to 28 January 2012.

Lead-in tournaments
The traditional Grade 1 Loy Yang Traralgon Junior International will now be played on Plexicushion, the same surface as Melbourne Park. The tournament will be played from January 13 to 20, 2012. Before the Traralgon event are two Australian Money Tournaments, offering $10,000 each. The WTC City of Charles Sturt AMT will be played from January 1 to 5. The City of Salisbury AMT will be played from January 6 to 10. Both tournaments will be held in Adelaide, South Australia. Australian Open Junior Championships qualifying
Qualifying for the Australian Open Junior Championships will be played at the Traralgon Tennis Association, the same venue as the Grade 1 event. Qualifying matches will be played on the same Plexicusion surface as the main draw on January 19 & 20 in Traralgon.
